Hydro Tech is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Mt. Elbert Rotor Redesign Project for the 100 MW pumped storage generator in Colorado, under contract with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (USBR).
This project involves the engineering and supply of a new 25.5 foot rotor to address longstanding design issues that have led to recurrent cracking since the generator’s commissioning. Hydro Tech’s scope is to deliver a robust, long-term solution that minimizes the need for future interventions and supports reliable performance moving forward.
Hydro Tech is excited to contribute our expertise to this significant project and to support the continued operation of one of North America’s largest-capacity pumped storage plants!
